DICK O’RAFFERTY RIP

It is with great sadness that the Trustees of Badminton Museum Ireland (BMI) announce the recent passing of our much-loved Curator and fellow Trustee Dick O’Rafferty, following a short illness. Dick was instrumental in the setting up of BMI from the very beginning. He worked tirelessly, passionately and with good humour in the cause of the sport of Badminton throughout his life and most recently on behalf of BMI. Dick’s contribution to the Museum has been immense.

Singlehandedly Dick operated this website and in so doing attracted interest from near and far, and made friends throughout the worldwide badminton fraternity. Dick will be greatly missed by us all.
