The Historical Item displays a Press Report from 1944 listing all the clubs who had entered for the Dublin and District Leagues for the season 1944-45. On looking through the clubs listed on Badminton Ireland’s website it seem that only 5 clubs are still operating. They are Ailesbury, Clontarf Parish, Dundrum, Pembroke and Rathfarnham. I am sure each of these five clubs have some interesting historical material. Badminton Museum would be delighted to receive material by donation or loan. We would like to acknowledge our thanks to Leinster Branch for this item.

The Gallery Item displays a very fine action photograph of Frank Peard playing in Edinburgh in 1950. Many of our young players would do well to copy the stroke technique shown here. We are grateful to Frank for donation of this item

2019 is the 120th. Anniversary of the foundation of Badminton Ireland. Over the next few months they intend to show item from various years on their website.
